Four generations of the Lyons family have run butchers shops in Knowle since 1903.  John Lyons founded the business and his son Philip took charge. Phil joined the army and, on his return from the First World War, re-joined the family business. Subsequently, his sons Eric and Bob who were his “delivery boys” also joined the business. Eric had three sons, two of them, Peter and David, continuing the family tradition by running the High Street, Knowle shop to the present time.

The Lyons’ family is looking to the future, especially as Nick and Dan Lyons, sons of David, have also joined the family “firm” , making five generations of Lyons to trade in Knowle.

The team have kindly donated a voucher for one of their tasty family pies.
