On behalf of the choir, I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and came to Spring Sing! on Saturday night. Knowle Parish Church was packed to the rafters as the choir took to the stage and sang their first number – “Top of the World”. It was a great song to start with – full of energy and fun and most of all – it summed up the way we all felt seeing family, friends, and members of the public coming together to support the choir. The concert was a sell out and raised over £2,000 which will be shared between Solihull Mind and Warwickshire Air Ambulance.
A member of our audience recorded the first number from our first gig and posted it on YouTube – Thank’s Mike for doing that (we don’t often get a chance to see or hear ourselves in action)
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxCZzR-DBxQStaging a concert like Spring Sing! takes a lot of organising – it doesn’t just happen. Venues have to be booked months in advance, music programs have to be selected, posters and advertising, raffles, amps & mics, accompanists have to practice, front of house, catering and cleaning to name just some of the things that went on before a single singer set foot on the stage. I would like to say an extra special
thank you to everyone who rallied round behind the scenes and made the whole event possible.
A big thank you also goes to Standley & Co for their generous support which went to wards the cost of catering and hall hire and allowing us to raise even more money for our good causes.

It was lovely being able to come together at the end of the concert to do a joint piece and I hope we can maybe do something similar in the future.
Be proud everyone – it was a fantastic night.
