Well done SallyAnn – raising funds for MIND in the Prudential RideLondon
You may remember a little while ago, one of our altos, SallyAnn Morris, announced that she would be raising money for MIND by taking part in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey100 2014, and asked if we’d like to sponsor her. I remember lots of us nodding and clapping!
Yesterday, on Sunday, 10th August, SallyAnn joined over 20,000 cyclists and battled through high winds and torrential rain to complete the 86 mile course, which was originally to be 100 miles but due to Hurricane Bertha was shortened by the organisers for safety reasons, missing out Leith Hill and Box Hill in Surrey. Finishing at Buckingham Palace, which was “an amazing experience”, says SallyAnn, tired and saddle sore in all that rain, she is now looking for sponsors to make it all worthwhile.
If you want to donate, please go to her JustGiving page – www.justgiving.com/SallyAnn-Morris1/ and see why this charity ride means so much to SallyAnn. Don’t forget to check out the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 for more information on the riders, among them Chris Boardman, and what happened on the day. Makes for interesting reading….
Well done, SallyAnn, let’s hope you get lots of donations for riding all that way and having to cope with Hurricane Bertha too!!
